# Moving from another app

Replace discontinued Connect API-doc apps with Apifolio before Atlassian ends Connect support.

Atlassian ends support for Connect apps on **31 January 2027**. Many OpenAPI and Swagger apps for Confluence are built on Connect. Apifolio is built on Forge and **Runs on Atlassian**, so it is ready for what comes next.

## Moving a page today

1. Make sure the spec file is **attached to the page** (or to a page you can link). If your old macro loaded the spec from a URL, download the file and attach it: Apifolio never fetches files from outside Confluence.
2. Edit the page and insert **Apifolio API Docs** next to the old macro. Choose the file and the display options.
3. Check the preview, remove the old macro and publish.

Confluence keeps the page history, so you can always restore the previous version.

## Automatic migration

An automatic migration tool is coming in Apifolio 1.1. It finds pages that use popular Connect OpenAPI and Swagger macros, shows a dry run, and replaces them with Apifolio in one click. Credentials stored in old macros are never copied.
